Where She Started
During law school, I applied to the Law Offices of the Public Defender, 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida, as a certified legal intern. I was honored to be hired after graduation and began my legal career as a Public Defender. That experience solidified my desire to advocate for people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.
Why This Work
Since the beginning of my career, I have felt a deep passion for justice and a genuine empathy for people facing vulnerable and difficult circumstances. Too often, the wheels of justice can turn quickly, creating a rush to judgment before all the facts have been fully investigated and understood.
As a criminal defense attorney, it is my responsibility to make sure my clients are not overlooked or swept aside by an incomplete investigation. Everyone deserves due process and the opportunity to be heard. I believe my clients deserve to understand the charges they are facing, the potential consequences, and their options so they can make careful, informed decisions about their future.
For me, criminal defense is about more than defending a case. It is about making sure every client is treated with dignity, their rights are protected, and their voice is heard.
Jacksonville Became Home
Jacksonville became home when I moved here after marrying my husband. We got married here, built our life here, and Jacksonville is where we are raising our family.
I may not have lived here my entire life, but this community has become an important part of mine. I chose Jacksonville as my home, and I chose to build my law practice here because I want to serve the community that has welcomed my family. I am proud to call Jacksonville home and to advocate for the people and families who live here.

Beyond the Courtroom
Outside of practicing law, Yarly's favorite role is being a wife and mother. She enjoys spending time with her family, embracing her Peruvian heritage, and creating memories with the people she loves. Yarly and her family call Jacksonville home.
